Creativity & Aesthetic Development

To develop the creative and aesthetic side of a child, ample amounts of encouragement from the teacher is needed in all activities laid out – art, music, dance/movement, creative role play and literature. Through these, the children are free to express their innermost feelings or personal thoughts.

Creative expression in the kindergarten students occurs when they have opportunities to:

  • use their voices to sing

  • learn about various percussion or musical instruments

  • learn about famous composers

  • discover different body movements through music

  • explore different art media using wax crayons, felt pens, water colour / brushes, clay, Play dough, water, glue etc.

  • learn about the world around them through role play, drama and puppetry
